# Company bots and limits for admins

> See every bot of your company, pause or resume a bot, and set what people can spend on bots each month

Admins see the bots of the company and set the monthly limits for bots on the **Bots (Admin)** screen in the **Admin** group of the sidebar (`/admin/bots`). This is a different screen from the **Bots** item under **Dashboard**, where people use their bots. Only people with the Admin role can open it. A person who is not an admin and opens the screen sees "Only an admin can see this page".

The screen has two tabs:

* **Bots**: every bot of the company, how it works, and what it cost. The screen opens on this tab.
* **Limits**: the monthly limits for bots.

## The company's bots

The **Bots** tab lists every bot of the company that is not archived. The line above the list gives the totals of the company, for example "12 bots, 9 active. 2 waiting for an owner, 1 with failed jobs this week. \$84.20 in the last 30 days."

The list shows these columns for each bot:

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Bot** | The name of the bot. |
| **Owner** | The person who owns the bot. |
| **State** | "Needs you", "Could not finish", "Cannot run", "Working", "Ready" or "Paused". |
| **Jobs, 7 days** | The jobs of the last 7 days. A helper task is part of its job and does not count alone. |
| **Failed** | The jobs of the last 7 days that failed. |
| **Cost, 30 days** | What the bot spent in the last 30 days. |
| **Last active** | The last time the bot did work, or "Never". |

Click a column heading to sort the list by that column. The list shows 50 bots on each page. Click **Previous** or **Next** to see more. On a phone, the list shows one row for each bot.

### Find a bot

* **All**, **Waiting** and **Failing** at the top of the list show all bots, the bots that wait for their owner, or the bots with a failed job this week or that cannot run. **Waiting** and **Failing** show a count.
* **Search by name** finds a bot by its name or by the name of its owner.
* **Every state** filters the list by state, and **Every owner** filters it by owner.

When no bot matches, the list reads "No bot matches". Click **Show every bot** to clear the search and the filters.

### The details of a bot

Click a bot to open its details on the side. The panel shows:

* **State**, and for a paused bot, who paused it and when.
* **Last 7 days**, **Cost, last 30 days** and **Last active**.
* **Connected apps**: the apps that the owner connected for the bot.
* **Always allowed**: the tools that the owner allowed with **Allow always**. The panel shows only the tool, not the site, the recipient or the kind of action.
* **Routines**: each routine with its schedule, or "When an app event arrives".

The state in the list can be different from the view of the owner in two cases. A bot that lost access to its workspace or its agent shows the state of its tasks until its next run. A blocked task whose card closed shows as waiting.

> [!NOTE]
>
> An admin never sees the chat of a bot, the goals and titles of its jobs, its answers, its memory, its files or the instructions of its routines. These stay private to the owner.

### Pause or resume a bot

An admin can pause and resume a bot. An admin cannot do other things to a bot: an admin cannot read its work, change its instructions or archive it.

**1. Open the bot**

Click the bot in the list. The details open on the side.

**2. Click Pause bot**

RelayHub asks "Pause (name)?" and tells you that the owner sees a note in the chat of the bot.

**3. Click Pause bot again**

The bot stops its jobs and its routines, and its computers close. Click **Cancel** to keep the bot on.

The owner sees this line in the chat of the bot: "(admin), an administrator of your company, paused me. I do no work and run no routine until you press Resume." The bot page of the owner shows "Paused by an administrator of your company".

To start a paused bot again, click **Resume bot**. The owner sees "(admin), an administrator of your company, resumed me. I work again and my routines run." The owner can also resume a bot that an admin paused.

RelayHub records each pause and each resume in the audit log, with the admin as the user.

## The limits

The **Limits** tab holds the monthly limits for bots. A change applies at once. Tasks that a limit stopped continue.

| Group | What it limits | Default |
| - | - | - |
| **Spend on work** | One bot each month | \$50 |
| | All bots of one person, each month: what all the bots of one person can spend together. A limit for one bot cannot be higher. | \$200 |
| | All bots of the company each month | \$1,000 |
| **Pictures for bots** | Pictures for the look of bots, each person each month | \$5 |
| | Pictures for the look of bots, the whole company each month | \$25 |
| | Rounds of new pictures for one bot | 4 |
| | Pictures that get a moving clip, for one bot | 4 |
| **Computers** | Computers one person can have open at the same time | 3 |
| | Close a computer that nobody uses after | 15 minutes |
| **New bots** | New bots one bot can propose in 24 hours. The owner accepts or rejects each one on a card. 0 turns this off for the company. | 3 |

Each row has a **Use the default** button to go back to the default value. Months are calendar months.

### Computer time this month

The **Computers** group ends with **Computer time this month**: the hours your company's bot computers ran since the 1st and what they cost, for example "41.5 hours, \$12.30". This cost does not count toward the spend limits on the page, so the line shows no share of a limit.

* "Computer time is not available right now. Try again later." means the computer service did not answer. The limits on the page still work.
* "This server does not record computer time." means your bots' computers run on your RelayHub server itself, which keeps no record of their time.

### Who is at a limit

* **At a limit now** lists the bots and people that a limit stops now. Raise the limit and the work continues.
* **This month, by person** shows what each person spent on bots this month.
