The Capabilities screen has two parts. The first part turns industry modules on or off for your organization. The second part is a catalog of the built-in tools that the AI uses in conversations. Open the Admin group in the sidebar and click Capabilities. Only admins see this screen.

Modules

An industry module adds screens for one type of business. Every customer can use the modules, on all plans. A module is off until an admin turns it on. This screen shows the Lending module, which adds the Credit and Financial Spreading screens. To turn it on, click Enable lending. To turn it off, click Disable. When a module is on, its screens show in the Modules group of the sidebar. See Modules.

Built-in tools

The catalog lists the tools that the AI can use. These tools are part of RelayHub. You do not install them. The number of tools shows at the top of the screen. Click a category to show only its tools, or click All. On a tool card, click Show more to see the Detailed description and the Keywords to invoke.

Document Tools

  • Document Reader: reads the text of PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, and code files
  • Image Analyzer: reads text in images, reads charts, and describes images
  • Semantic Search: finds the passages in a file that match the meaning of a question
  • Document Compare: finds the differences or the similarity between two documents
  • PDF Data Extractor: gets the table data from one or more PDF files into one Excel file

Data Tools

  • Spreadsheet Query: answers questions about CSV and Excel data
  • Data Explorer: shows the structure, columns, and sample rows of a spreadsheet
  • Data Compute: calculates sums, averages, filters, groups, ranks, pivots, and correlations
  • Spreadsheet Generator: makes Excel workbooks with formulas, charts, and formats

Analysis Tools

  • Data Analyzer & Charts: does statistical analysis and makes charts
  • Reasoning: records step-by-step reasoning for a complex analysis

Web Tools

  • Web Search: searches the web for current information
  • Web Page Fetcher: gets the text of one web page
  • Web Research: searches the web and reads several pages in one step

Utility Tools

  • File Info: shows the details of an uploaded file
  • File Creator: makes files to download in text, document, and data formats

How the AI uses the tools

You do not start a tool yourself. Ask for the result in chat, for example “compare these two contracts” or “chart revenue by region from this spreadsheet”. The AI selects the tools. The conversation shows the tool activity while the AI works.
