Connecting Your Google Account
Navigate to any chat or workspace and click the cloud import icon in the file attachment area. Select Google Drive from the list of available connectors.
A Google sign-in window opens. Choose the Google account that has access to the files you need, then review the permissions RelayHub is requesting and click Allow. RelayHub requests read-only access to your Drive files — it cannot modify or delete anything in your Google account.
Your Google connection is tied to your RelayHub user account. Other team members must connect their own Google accounts separately, and each person only sees files they have access to in Google Drive.
Browsing and Importing Files
Once connected, you can browse your entire Google Drive hierarchy from within RelayHub.The file browser displays your Drive contents with folders, file names, types, and last-modified dates. Click into folders to navigate deeper, or use the search bar at the top to find a specific file by name.
Click on any file to select it for import. You can select multiple files across different folders before importing. Supported file types include PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, CSV files, and plain text files.
Google-native formats (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) are automatically exported to their Microsoft Office equivalents during import — no manual conversion needed.
What Happens After Import
Imported files appear in your File Hub alongside any files you uploaded directly. They receive the same treatment as manual uploads:- Text extraction pulls content from PDFs, Office documents, and images (via OCR).
- Embeddings are generated for semantic search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Knowledge graph entities are extracted when knowledge features are enabled for your workspace.
Disconnecting Google Drive
To remove the Google Drive connection from your RelayHub account:- Open the integrations panel by clicking the cloud import icon.
- Click the Disconnect button next to Google Drive.
- Confirm the disconnection when prompted.
